Early Valentine's Celebration

I was playing with a healthier way to make Rice Crispy Squares and came up with this. They were so cute - I added Valentine M&Ms. They'd make a great Valentine's Day treat for the kids or your sweetie.

Marshmallow Kashi Treats
1 bag mini marshmallows
6c Kashi cereal
1/4c spread
1c M&Ms (can adjust as the holiday colors come out!)

Melt spread and marshmallows in a pot on medium heat until smooth and completely melted. Remove from heat. Add cereal and M&Ms - stir completely. Spread into a greased sheet pan and let set. I usually let them sit overnight before cutting. That ensures you get a smooth cut and that the marshmallows have set back again.

These were fabulous - super crispy and packed with protein. Kashi has something like 10 grams of protein per serving. Talk about a great way to balance out the rest of the sugar in these!
